Pegasus The pegasi are winged horses. They possess the grace of the air, and a certain beauty to them. The muscles around their rib cages are much more defined, as well as there being more than your average equine. These serve in different functions, to make the wings fold, tuck in, and ultimately, fly. As well as having more muscle there, these equine have larger lungs to help keep them in flight. Though their bones are strong, they're hollow, so as to allow them the gift of flight. Their hooves are cloven like a ram's, to help with taking off and landing. Special abilities; flight, invisibility
Unicorn Our Unicorns are similar to many other unicorns, in that they have a horn. Other than that, the similarities end. The Unicorns have varied horn shapes, sizes, and styles. Some Unicorns have mutations, causing them to become Bi-horns (two horns) and in rare cases, Trihorns. Other Unicorns tend to overlook this, while some may judge fiercely. Our Trihorns and Bicorns have been known to have antlers like a deer, horns like a ram, and one memorable Trihorn had curled horns like a ram and the horn of a rhino at the end of his nose. The possibilities are endless. Special abilities; rapid healing
Faerie The Faerie equine are similar to Pegasi in that they have wings. Their wings tend to resemble insects, however, and they have antennae. The Faerie equine also tend to be smaller in stature, shorter than any of the other races. Their colors are exotic, with markings best resembling the insect they got their wings from. Faeries have received a bad reputation of being quite bothersome and giddy, though that's just a stereotype. Like the other races, they've had their share of murderous faeries. Some of the Faeries leave trails of glitter when they walk and fly, others do not. Special abilities; flight, ability to shrink and grow
Arachnids The Arachnids were named so not because of their physical makeup, but their color and abilities. Being able to be any color of the equine race, their difference is in their mane, tail, and markings. Arachnids always have a spiderweb design over their hide, though some are fainter than others. Their manes and tails have spiderwebs woven into them as well. Some glitter with dew, others are dull by dust, it's up to the Arachnid to keep them clean and in pristine condition. Arachnids have normal hooves and no muscular differences than a normal horse, though some do have poisonous fangs. Special abilities; create spiderwebs strong enough to stop any horse, and poisonous fangs
Vampyre The Vampyre equine is rumored to be the most attractive of all the others. Don't let the name fool you; vampyre equine can be any color, breed, and have any eye color. They're said to be able to play mind games on the others, manipulate thoughts, and even hypnotize. The Vampyre equine don't only come out at night, even though, with their increased eyesight, they tend to stick to shadows and night. Vampyres do not possess the ability to shape shift into bats and fly away, nor the ability to fly... however, they do have the famous fangs and thirst for blood. Special abilities; mind control, hypnosis, fangs
Elementals Elementals best represent the elements. A water elemental tends to have ice and liquid strands tangled into their manes and tails, while their bodies reflect the light much like water and tend to have that pattern. Earth elementals have foliage and bits of rock in their manes and tails, with cracks like the Earth's surface over their bodies. Air elementals always have a gust around them, causing their manes and tails to float. Fire elementals have fire around their manes and tails, bursting from their hooves as they walk, and a flame-like glow to their hides. Special abilities; control over their element
Thestrals Thestrals are said to resemble death. They have a thin layer of semi-transparent skin over their bones, bat-like wings, three toed feet instead of hooves, and reptilian features. They possess a keen ability to know exactly where a location is just by it's name, how to get there, and who waits there. Thestrals are carnivorous and can only eat raw meat, preferring it warm over cold. They have no manes and their tails are simply skin-covered tail bones. Thestrals have the stereotype of being evil and dangerous. Some are, while others are the exact opposite and only seek what traditional lights do. Special abilities; flight and knowledge
Misfits Misfits are those the other kingdoms refuse to acknowledge. They're ordinary horses, or crosses between the races before the great divide. Misfits are looked down on by the other races, and those who crossbred after the divide, even if they were pure, were sent to live in the misfit kingdom with their new foal. Only those who killed the foal were aloud to return to their kingdom, and usually were kept under strict supervision within the kingdom's homeland. Misfits are the most accepting of the alliance, with being the boiling pot of all races, but only of their kind. A purebred banished to the misfits is often times ignored. Special abilities; unknown
